Programs
There are no fees or resident restrictions for joining the Phenix City Adaptive Social Club! Registration to the ASC is required to participate in some ASC events.
Events currently planned:
October 31, 2024- 2nd Annual Sensory-Friendly Trunk Or Treat. MUST be registered in the ASC to enter the Sensory Area at Trunk or Treat!
Previous ASC Events:
June and July 2024 Summer Sensory Swim - ASC registration is required to participate.
June 13, 2024 - Fishing Rodeo 5:30 PM ET - 7 PM ET.
March 28, 2024 - Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt 6 PM - 9 PM ET. Sensory area/ quiet zone and sensory bags are available. Register for the event online under youth programming.
March 21, 2024 - Nintendo Switch Social - 5 PM - 7 PM ET at CAC.
May 2024- Morning Mindful Walking Group - The Group meets from 9 AM ET to 10:30 AM every Tuesday in May at Moon Lake.
May 2024- Afternoon Pokémon Go Walking Group - The Group meets at 3 PM ET every Tuesday in May at Moon Lake.
Feb 29th, 2024- Family Board Game Night 5 PM ET - 7 PM ET at CAC
Feb 10, 2024 - Daddy Daughter Sneaker Ball 6 PM-9 PM at MICC.
Feb 9, 2024 - Mother-Son Masquerade Ball 6 PM-9 PM at MICC.
December 7, 2023 - Christmas Movie/ Festival of Lights- PC Amphitheater at 6 PM EST.
October 26, 2023 - Sensory Friendly Trunk or Treat 5-8 at Garrett Harrison Stadium
September 28, 2023 - Family Game Night 5-7 at CAC

Phenix City residency is not required to participate in ASC programs or events!
Programming is selected based on the needs and/or interests of participants as an entirety. Keep in mind that due to the varied ages, abilities, and functioning levels of each participant, every program may not be appropriate for every participant.
Therapeutic Recreation does not provide participants with personal assistants, assistance, or services. Participants who require one-on-one assistance or who suffer from acute medical conditions must have a parent/guardian, caregiver/nurse, or another authorized assistant attend programming with the participant. Participants under 18 must have a parent/guardian/caregiver accompany them to programs. There may be future programs where accompaniment is not a requirement. In the event of any sort of cancellation, staff will contact only those who have turned in registration forms for that specific program.
